We’re ready to start showing some of the major new features coming to ReadySuite 8! Our next release will focus on enhancing our support for the Relativity Short Message (RSMF) file format along with introducing the ability to collect (and convert) chat messaging data from platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, and Slack.
We first introduced support for the RSMF load file format back in ReadySuite 7.1. As long as you have data and fields you can map to the RSMF format, ReadySuite can create and export RSMF files with several built-in options for batching and splitting files. More recently, we enhanced the Batch Import tool to support RSMF files, further expanding capabilities in ReadySuite to preview and show you the contents of RSMF files without the need for any processing.
Starting with ReadySuite 8, we’re introducing the chat project type, and the ability to connect to chat sources via both API methods or exported file formats.
Initially, we will support the following chat sources and formats:
- Microsoft Teams – using Graph API and exported Purview HTML files
- Slack – using Slack API and exported JSON files
- Google Chat – using Vault API and exported Takeout files
Let’s take a first look at our chat connectors process below:
In the above example, we are retrieving chat and messaging data from a Purview export consisting of Microsoft Teams HTML files. We’ll automatically convert these files to the RSMF format when you load them into ReadySuite.
After the source data is loaded into a ReadySuite chat project, you’ll have the same options already available with our chat export tool. This includes the ability to batch, split by time, and re-export into RSMF and HTML files. Additionally, you can continue to use ReadySuite’s scripting capabilities for advanced data normalization and manipulation.
Now, let’s take a first look at our chat conversation viewer:
After we have created and loaded data into a chat project, we can utilize the existing document grid and folder viewer, along with the new conversation viewer, to explore the chat data. You’ll be able to continue to leverage many of ReadySuite’s existing features for chat data, such as our batch edit, grid filtering and sorting, and overlaying other load files into your project.
The conversation viewer includes two tabs – list of messages and conversation metadata. For channels, conversation topics will be shown with a hierarchy for replies/threads. Reactions, edit history, importance/deleted state, and attachments are all displayed in the viewer. A separate message viewer will also be available, providing a separate view for message related metadata.
